Children aged birth through five grow and develop so quickly – and with the elimination of three months of service per year, this could be a significant regression factor. Babies are born 12 months out of the year, and doctors, nurses, public health, parents, hospital staff and DFS need to be able to refer at point of need.

The Developmental Disabilities program identifies children who have mild to severe disabilities. It focuses on developmental screening, evaluation, service coordinator and Individual Education Plans (IEP) for 3-5 year old children or Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) for birth-3 children. Special services are provided by qualified licensed therapists: Speech/Language Pathologist, Special Educators, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Mental Health Counselors and degreed Teachers
