Climb Wyoming offers free career and job placement to low-income single moms across the state of Wyoming. Mothers receive eight weeks of free career training and assistance securing employment in an industry that will help support the needs of her and her children. Climb Wyoming’s Teton site in Jackson serves women in Teton, Lincoln and Sublette counties. Our Mission: For low-income single mothers to discover self-suffciency through career training and placement.

The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act, has three purposes: to foster and promote useful part-time opportunities in community service activities for unemployed low-income persons who are 55 years of age or older and who have poor employment prospects; to foster individual economic self-sufficiency; and to move the number of older persons who may enjoy the benefits of unsubsidized employment in both the public and private sectors.
Job Corps is the nations largest career technical training and education program for students ages 16 through 24. A voluntary program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, Job Corps provides income-eligible young men and women with an opportunity to gain the experience they need to begin a career or advance to higher education.

Disability Related Center Based Employment
SCSEP trainees are placed in a variety of community service activities at nonprofit and public facilities such as museums and senior centers, and thrift stores. This on-the-job training experience can be a bridge to find employment opportunities outside of the program. Participants work an average of 20 hours a week and are paid the highest federal, state or local, minimum wage. In Wyoming this is $7.25 per hour.

The Lagniappe (pronounced "lan-yap") Center is a vocational mentoring community housed at Grace Anglican Church that helps equip low-income parents for living wage employment through paid ($18.50/hr) training. We partner with parents to identify and address personal obstacles to living wage employment as the trainee seeks a full-time benefitted job elsewhere. Commercial sewing training, financial literacy, cooking & nutrition, and job search mentoring are current program offerings.
