Our Clinical Team offers outpatient mental health support and flexible scheduling through telehealth and counseling sessions for kids, teens, young adults and families. Specialized clinicians can help youth cope with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, grief and loss, gender and sexuality, mood and thought disorders, self-harm and suicidal ideation, PTSD, and more.

One Health Providers recommend patients complete an annual wellness exam to stay up-to-date on their primary care. During Wellness visits, Providers discuss Preventive Care with patients. Recommended Preventive screenings, immunizations, and other interventions vary per patient based on age and gender. Patients should check with their insurance company to learn what services are covered in a Wellness Visit.

Stepping Stones is an 8-bed facility serving primarily Carbon County. Crisis placement beds are for youth who are out of control at home, possible substance abuse issues, struggling with school or referred by child protective services. Stepping Stones also serves as a runaway/homeless youth shelter. Long term placements tend to be court ordered. Youth who are ordered long term may have specific behaviors they need to work on or they are awaiting a different level of care.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at this VA clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular VA clinic are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally for fee basis care within the local community. For emergency care, all Sheridan VA clinics activate the local 911 system and veterans are taken to the local emergency medical facility.

The mental health service within the Sheridan VA Health Care System provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact health and well-being. The services are available at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan and the community VA clinics located in Afton, Casper, Cody, Evanston, Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs and Worland. Veterans can receive mental health care virtually on their smartphones, tablets or computers.

Pioneer Counseling Services, serving Uinta County and located in the extreme southwest corner of Wyoming, is the longest running, community based mental health facility in the county. The center provides a comprehensive array of outpatient services to all residents of the area. Additionally, the center owns and operates two group living facilities and monitored independent living apartments with services and supports tailored to the needs of persons with serious and persistent mental illness.

Cody Regional Health Home Health provides care for patients in the home setting within a defined service area, including Cody, Powell, Meeteetse, Burlington and Ralston. Home health services are for patients who need attentive care and have trouble leaving home on their own. Nurses are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. You or your loved one may receive care from a team of home health professionals who work together to provide comprehensive, well-rounded care.
