The YWCA has a shelter and provides advocacy services for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault / abuse, human trafficking, and stalking through the immediate crisis, medical, legal and social service involvement. YWCA has a 24 hour crisis line and shelter. Assistance with family violence and stalking protection orders, safely planning, support groups, accompaniment to hospital, law enforcement and court. YWCA provides child care tuition assistance to families who qualify.

Advocates provide immediate direct assistance in aiding victims in obtaining medical care, interacting with the criminal justice system, referrals to local services and legal support agencies, and in obtaining domestic violence and stalking protection orders. Links domestic violence victims to an advocate who provides information and support to callers, refers victims to shelter, and arranges or provides in-person support of victims at the hospital.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at the Worland VA Clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular community outpatient clinic, like the Worland clinic, are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally within the local community. Hours of operation (excluding holidays) are Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Thursday 8am-2:30pm; Closed Fridays.

Offering resources to support youth and families in crisis 24/7/365. The crisis hotline is available 24/7 to offer support and solutions. Crisis services are tailored to each individual and often include a crisis shelter stay for youth. Intake plans are driven by each client and their family to identify and address crisis and long-term needs. Reasons for intake include; emergency care and shelter, respite or therapeutic breaks, and group home services.

Our practice is certified by the state to do court ordered evaluations including Addiction Severity Index (ASI), domestic violence inventory (DVI), and anger management assessments in our office or Natrona County Juvenile Detention center or Natrona County Detention center.

Local support to help families and caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related illnesses care for their loved ones. We provide – FREE OF CHARGE – direct services, support, encouragement, access to many community resources and techniques to help caregivers meet the challenges of caring for their loved ones. Our goal is to provide vital services to those with dementia and their loved ones, and to be a lifeline for families during this difficult process.

The mental health service within the Sheridan VA Health Care System provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact health and well-being. The services are available at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan and the community VA clinics located in Afton, Casper, Cody, Evanston, Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs and Worland. Veterans can also receive mental health care virtually on their smartphones, tablets or computers.
