Fort Collins VA Clinic

If you qualify for VA health care, you can get high-quality mental health services as part of your benefits. You may also be able to get care for certain mental health problems even if you don't have VA health care. If you have questions, please ask your mental health consultant. The mental health service within the Sheridan VA Health Care System provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact health and well-being. The services are available at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan and the community VA clinics located in Afton, Casper, Cody, Evanston, Gillette, Riverton, Rock Springs and Worland. Veterans can also receive mental health care virtually on their smartphones, tablets or computers.

The Gillette VA Clinic team is proud to support the medical and mental health care of area Veterans. Besides services in the clinic, additional care options are available at the Sheridan VA Medical Center, other VA facilities, and through extensive telehealth options. Veterans may also be eligible for care in the local community.

MHICM provides Case Management services to veterans and their families to strengthen placements in community settings and decrease the occurrence of re-hospitalization. Mental Health Intensive Case Management (MHICM) Rural Access Network for Growth Enhancement (RANGE) Cheyenne Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC)

The Casper Vet Center is a part of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Vet Center provides free counseling to eligible Veterans. There is no fee and you do not have to be registered with the VA to be seen.

Both primary medical and mental health services are available at this VA clinic. Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular VA clinic are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally for fee basis care within the local community. For emergency care, all Sheridan VA clinics activate the local 911 system and veterans are taken to the local emergency medical facility.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, excluding holidays.

Women Veteran Program Managers are available at each VA Medical Center nationwide to assist women Veterans and coordinate services. The Afton VA Clinic team is proud to support the medical and mental health of area Veterans. While our clinic is small, we're able to provide extensive care options through the Sheridan VA Medical Center, other VA facilities, via national telehealth options or locally within the community. Our women's health program offers complete health care for women Veterans of all ages. Our primary care providers specialize in women’s health. They work closely with specialists in gynecology, obstetrics, female urology, oncology, medicine, radiology, surgery, and breast illness.

Those Veterans in need of services not available at a particular community outpatient clinic, like the Evanston VA clinic, are either referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another VA facility within the region, or are scheduled locally within the local community. Hours of operation (excluding holidays) are Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm; Thursday 8am-2:30pm; Closed Fridays.

A Community VA clinic with primary medical services including labs, audiology, physical therapy, telehealth specialties and mental health services. Veterans in need of services not available at this clinic are referred to the Sheridan VA Medical Center, another regional VA facility, or are scheduled within the local community. This clinic does not have emergency care, so please go to nearest hospital with an emergency department for life-threatening care. After hours: 1-833-983-0484.
