WIC provides nutrition education, supplemental foods, information, counseling, and referrals for pregnant women, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants, and children to age 5. A free nutrition and health assessment is done to determine any nutritional/health needs. Breastfeeding support and help is provided. A WYO W.E.S.T. card is provided to buy healthy foods.

The SPEAKOUT!® Therapy Program ,developed by ParkinsonVoiceProject®, helps people with Parkinson’s and related disorders REGAIN and RETAIN their speech and swallowing. This highly effective, evidence-based treatment combines education, individual and group speech therapy, daily home practice, and continuous follow-ups. Patients are empowered to “speak with INTENT,” transitioning speech from an automatic function to an intentional act.

When you or someone in your family needs quick medical care, you don’t always need to go to the emergency room. Studies show that half of all ER visits are not for true emergencies. The less of an emergency you have, the longer you may have to wait because doctors and nurses are busy treating patients in life-or-death situations. Minor sprains or broken bones, sore throats, fevers, sinus or ear infections, urinary tract infections, x-rays, casting, and drug testing.

The function of the Public Defender is to represent persons accused of misdemeanors, felonies and probation violations in circuit and district courts who cannot afford to hire an attorney. The agency represents juveniles accused of delinquency in juvenile court and individuals on appeal in the Wyoming Supreme Court. Additional functions include representing individuals who are to be extradited to other states and individuals seeking post-conviction relief.

PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. We are a safe space for NE Wyoming to support, educate, and provide advocacy work for the LGBTQ+ community.

Low-cost blood screenings, biometrics and flu shots (seasonal availability)

Shoshoni Municipal Court handles all violations to City Code and is authorized to impose fines depending on the violation. The Administrative Assistant does the receipting of fines and helps with other duties as needed by the Judge.

School district

The ADA Center staffs a toll-free phone line weekdays from 9 am - 4 pm MT. The Center's information specialists can answer most questions you have about the ADA immediately and will research more complex questions if necessary. Questions can also be submitted at www.RockyMountainADA.org.

The Shoshoni Senior Center offers meals and services for senior citizens. Those age 60 and older can register, but all ages are welcome to join us as a guest for meals and activities. We offer transportation, activities, exercise equipment, a lending library, coffee, public-use computers, and other services. The Senior Center is a community gathering place and also offers visitor information.

The Court Interpreter Program supports the Wyoming Judicial Branch’s commitment to providing equitable access to legal proceedings for individuals who are non-English speakers, possess limited English proficiency, or are deaf or hard of hearing.

The American Legion can assist veterans and service members with a 1 time only emergency financial assistance. This is only as funding permits. Offers Veterans, Active Duty Service Members and Reservists the opportunity to become members of The American Legion. Can assist veterans and service members locating local Veteran Service Officers and other persons able to assist with benefit questions and filing of forms and claims.

Business Programs provide financial backing and technical assistance to stimulate business creation and growth. The programs work through partnerships with public and private community-based organizations and financial institutions to provide financial assistance, business development, and technical assistance to rural businesses.
