The Department of Family Services provides day care assistance, SNAP, Child care licensing, Child protection services, juvenile services and Vulnerable adult investigations.tes the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency of families through community partnerships. Local DFS offices can help qualifying families with supplemental nutrition assistance (SNAP), child support program, POWER program, child care expense assistance and other needed services.
