End Stage Renal Disease
Dialysis is for patients with stage 5 renal disease. This treatment performs some of the regular functions of kidneys including removing waste, sodium, and extra fluid. This helps to prevent these waste materials from accumulating in the body. It also helps to keep a safe level of certain electrolytes in the blood, including potassium, sodium and phosphorus.
