SENIOR COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), funded under Title V of the Older Americans Act, has three purposes: to foster and promote useful part-time opportunities in community service activities for unemployed low-income persons who are 55 years of age or older and who have poor employment prospects; to foster individual economic self-sufficiency; and to move the number of older persons who may enjoy the benefits of unsubsidized employment in both the public and private sectors.

Eligibility
Participants must be at least 55, unemployed, and have a family income of no more than 125% of the federal poverty level., and reside in one of the 5 counties where SCSEP operates through the Department of Workforce Services.
