Since our founding in 2009, we continue to address our mission through development of new community gardens, increased food production efforts and growing, rescuing and donating high-quality locally grown produce that is shared with individuals and families, with special focus on elders, children and people living with chronic illness.
CCGP assists schools with curriculum development, by aligning farm-to-school lesson plans to state curriculum standards; curriculum enrichment; and provide schools farm and garden field trip opportunities. CCGP also facilitates community involvement with school gardens to ensure success and sustainability.
Community Gardens was created to help people learn to grow their own food, participate in food production, and gain self-sufficiency.
Facing the challenge of combating food insecurity in Wyoming requires creative thinking. The Soldier's House is planning a Victory Garden for shared harvest and is partnering with The Wyoming Hunger Initiative in the distribution of surplus produce and protein.
The Casper Community Greenhouse Project's Community Gardens Program aims to grow a thriving environment that promotes urban agriculture by integrating strategic land use, planning, and development to provide a local garden and place to grow food for all community members. Community gardens increases access to food and physical activity for the community to live an active and healthy lifestyle.
The Edible Prairie Project (EPP) is a nonprofit organization located in Campbell County, Wyoming that was created to support small and mid-scale agricultural and food processing operations within our local community in order to improve the affordability and accessibility of high quality and nutritionally appropriate food for all members of our community.
