The Board of Embalming was created in 1915 to protect the welfare of the citizens of Wyoming by regulating the practice of embalmers and funeral directors. Wyoming Legislature changed the name of the board to the State Board of Funeral Service Practitioners in 2014 and allowed for elimination of regulation of the funeral director, making all those licensed to practice funeral service "funeral service practitioners."
The Consumer Protection Unit (CPU) at the Wyoming Attorney General's Office aims to protect consumers through enforcement of Wyoming's Consumer Protection Act. The CPU also promotes consumer protection through a variety of consumer education and outreach initiatives, including its consumer education page and its social media presence.
Complaint Resolution DFS makes it a priority to resolve client concerns or complaints about benefits, programs and other issues relating to DFS.
