The TBI program provides secondary screening to post 911 Veterans that have been initially screened by their VA primary care team as having an injury that may have resulted in a undiagnosed TBI. When referred to this program, a VA Dr. completes a comprehensive traumatic brain injury evaluation and develops a treatment plan with the Veteran to address symptoms identified during the evaluation. Ongoing care is referred to either specialty providers or their primary care provider
We understand that primary care physicians are the preferred treatment source for health management. It can be difficult, however, to get into a primary care physician on a short-term basis for acute illness or injury.
We are staffed with family physicians, pediatricians, physician assistant, family nurse practitioners, psychologists, dentists, dietician, public health nurses and optometrists. Specialty clinics are also held at our facilities ranging from orthopedic, podiatry, nephrology, obstetrics, audiology, women's health and cardiopulmonary services.
