Free Developmental Screenings: The SCCDC provides free developmental screenings to all children in Sweetwater County from birth to age five. We also have a preschool program for all children 3-5, we offer free preschool, free therapy services, free special education services, free developmental services and home visiting for infants 0-2, parenting programs, toddler programs, and more.

EARLY CHILDHOOD SERVICES - HULETT

Region III offers developmental screenings through the "Screen for Success" Child Find Campaign to locate, identify, and serve eligible children. If a formal evaluation warrants intervention, staff and parents meet to develop a plan to provide services that will help the child reach his/her potential.

Children are screened in all developmental areas. If a concern is identified children may receive evaluations from professionals in any, or all, developmental areas. With parent approval the team prepares an individualized education plan or individualized family service plan. Early intervention services are provided free of charge. Children up to 3 years receive services in the home or childcare. Children ages 3 to 5 receive services in a preschool environment.

The Developmental Disabilities program identifies children who have mild to severe disabilities. It focuses on developmental screening, evaluation, service coordinator and Individual Education Plans (IEP) for 3-5 year old children or Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP) for birth-3 children. Special services are provided by qualified licensed therapists: Speech/Language Pathologist, Special Educators, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Mental Health Counselors and degreed Teachers
