The Laramie County Senior Activity Center is centrally located in downtown Cheyenne. We offer various programs to enhance and encourage healthy living habits and stimulate mental well-being; opportunities to improve physical strength, flexibility and balance. Exercise classes and physical programs are available. Lunch served 7 days a week and breakfast 5 days a week. The Center also has a lending library and a small gym. We offer a great variety of senior outings throughout the month.

Originally designated to serve the community’s senior population, in 2009 with construction of our new facility, services and amenities were incorporated to address the needs of the entire community. Now, the Center offers programs and services for residents of all ages; child day care, education, outreach, senior meals, in-home health services, and public-use space for meetings and events.

Help at Home is customized to target the needs of each individual we serve. The Hub supports while maintaining a person’s dignity, respect and independence. Homecare includes helping individuals with things such as cooking, shopping, essential cleaning, and essential laundry. Personal Care includes assisting with bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulating, exercising, oral hygiene, and skincare.

Uinta Senior Center Inc. has also provided in-home services in Lincoln County, under the USCI name in the Kemmerer area of South Lincoln County, and dba North Lincoln In-Home Services in the Star Valley area of Northern Lincoln County. Two of the primary programs in use are Wyoming Home Services (WyHS) and National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP).

The Buffalo Senior Center offers a wide variety of activities for our patrons to keep their minds and bodies active and engaged. The Buffalo Area Transit System makes trips to Sheridan three times a week and once a month to Casper. We also sponsor visually impaired, and cancer support groups.
