DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT

Advocates provide immediate direct assistance in aiding victims in obtaining medical care, interacting with the criminal justice system, referrals to local services and legal support agencies, and in obtaining domestic violence and stalking protection orders. Links domestic violence victims to an advocate who provides information and support to callers, refers victims to shelter, and arranges or provides in-person support of victims at the hospital.

ECHO for Families is a group that provides learning, advocacy, and mentorship for families who have a child with a disability or other social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. Biweekly network sessions are held via Zoom and include live Spanish language interpretation and can be accessed anywhere in the state.

Kinship Connections of Wyoming is a free service to grandparents, relatives and other caregivers who are raising children that are not their own. It is our goal to minimize stressors through support and advocacy.

Wyoming Children's Society does not provide termination counseling. If you have experienced termination of a pregnancy and are dealing with feelings of grief and loss, we can assist you in accessing support services.

Our Older Relative Caregiver Program is designed to assist older caregivers (55+) who are raising relatives either under the age of 18 or under the age of 59 and living with a disability. The program’s mission is to instill a sense of hope, accomplished by linking families to community resources; helping in required document completion; hosting monthly support group meetings with provided caregiver respite; and offering a variety of supplemental services.
