The Verda James Club has access to a large facility including commons, gym, art room, and a stage area for our DramaMatters program. Verda James Elementary School boasts a large, modern playground which connects to an expansive grassy park and open space for kids to participate in sports and play games.

Youth are paired with community volunteers and spend time together, developing positive relationships. **Included programs are Progressive Youth (program for adjudicated youth), and Core Programs (community and school based mentoring programs).

UWE offers programs in 4-H, agriculture, horticulture, nutrition, natural resources, community development education, and so much more.

Offering a fun and recreational program after school. Participants will be involved in recreational games and sports along with creating crafts and participating in fun activities. Staff will lead activities and provide homework and reading help. We will be open for full days on school closures (teacher workdays, staff development), but will be closed on all school holidays. Punch cards may be purchased upon submittal of the completed registration form.

The YMCA teaches youth and adults how to swim. Public and private swim lessons are available. The YMCA opened two new swimming pools in March of 2022.

The Boys & Girls Club of Riverton opened its doors in 2021. In the Fall of 2024 the Club acquired the old Ashgrove Elementary School creating a perfect hub for the Club to serve the youth of Riverton! The Club serves all youth in Kindergarten through 12th grade where youth receive free snacks and meals, help with their homework, character education, arts & crafts, and so much more.

Books, audio/visual, interactive learning devices, public access, computers with internet, study and meeting rooms, Programs and activities for all ages, including: Computer classes, Book Clubs, Movies, Café, Teen Lounge, Homework Help, Children Storytime's. Curbside delivery is available all hours the library is open, weather permitting.
