Wyoming Behavioral Institute is an 81-bed acute care psychiatric hospital in Casper providing inpatient care for children 5 and older, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Psychiatric residential treatment is available for girls ages 10 to 17. Outpatient psychiatry is available for children, adolescents, and adults. Telehealth intensive outpatient treatment is offered for youth ages 14 to 17. Outpatient telehealth individual therapy for youth, and their families.

The Wyoming State Hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Many of the therapies and assessments occur Monday to Friday. Weekends are active with recreational therapy activities. Licensed nursing personnel and certified nursing assistants are always available to help. During the hours when the Licensed Independent Practitioner is off duty, there is always a licensed independent practitioner on-call available for emergencies.
