The Office of Youth Alternatives Foster Grandparent Program is looking for tutor/mentors that are 55 years and older to work with children in a classroom setting that need extra support. Foster Grandparents make a difference in the lives of children in our community and earn an average of $350- $500 per month in a non-taxable stipend. (Some Qualifications Apply). Individuals interested in serving may call 637-6480 for more information. A minimum of 15 hours per week is required.
Low cost therapeutic meals delivered to homes of adults and elderly clients. Meals/menus created by a registered dietitian. Offering Pet food for members that receive meals on wheels.

Uprising provides exploitation and human trafficking awareness training and prevention education across the state of Wyoming. We also connect people to human trafficking resources through our network of survivors and allies. Uprising also provides a Volunteer Program for anyone interested, including survivors. The Laramie County Senior Activity Center is centrally located in downtown Cheyenne. We offer various programs to enhance and encourage healthy living habits and stimulate mental well-being; opportunities to improve physical strength, flexibility and balance. Exercise classes and physical programs are available. Lunch served 7 days a week and breakfast 5 days a week. The Center also has a lending library and a small gym. We offer a great variety of senior outings throughout the month.

The Congressional Award (gold, silver and bronze medals) can be earned by ANY YOUNG PERSON age 14-24. There is no GPA requirement, and accommodations will be made when needed. Develop self-confidence and community engagement by logging hours in voluntary public service, physical fitness, personal development and exploration. Participants need a trusted adult as an advisor. WCAC staff can train/assist all advisors, parents and participants with questions. For more info see congressionalaward.org.
